dpp/tl - street photography eb

beat the heat and it's time to meet and hit the streets!

explore and capture the rocky shores of deira corniche, noisy vendors, stinky fishes and semifresh veggies of deira fish market, the glittering window shops of gold, old spices and other market trades of naif, and the wooden ships and busy cargos along the dubai creek.

a lot of my photo colleagues and friends are hesitant to meet with each other once again and decided to put this eb before the real summer heat starts. share tips and trade secrets in photography with fellow enthusiasts and newbies are the objectives of this trek.

updates (05-10-07):
so far 24 have confirmed for the eb and this is already big that we have to secure a permit from the police and philippine consulate as a safety. one of our friends from the dubai government inquired and we're cleared for the shoot. however here are some guidelines coming from the dxb police/cid:

1. Photographing in restricted areas such as government departments, ministries, royal palaces, military outposts and oil refineries is prohibited.

2. Photographing any scenes that disrespect or harm social and cultural perspectives and values of society is prohibited.

3. Photographing any scenes that reflect unethically or negatively upon any economical, political or ideological issues is prohibited.

plus, we might get covered from the press. :P stay tuned.
