faces

one of my favorite fields in photography are street photography and portraiture. expressions are endless even there is only one face to shoot. now, multiply these to a number of faces in the streets. pretty good combination, right?

expression with a natural looking environment like dirty walls, boxes, or just anything you see in your neighborhood or city can give some meaning and the viewer will have an idea that you want to convey. the faces im showing here were taken in the busy streets of naif, gold souq and the deira fish market. i hope you like it.

Is it "safe" to take photos of people around your place? Probably the lens helped you capture this "up-close and personal" shot.

I am starting to learn photography now and have actually made a photo blog my own.

How have you been Jeff?

Hello Jeff,
Greetings from Australia.
I stumbled across your blog. It was a great find!
I love your photography!! I first saw one of your photos of a gorgeous old lady in your "faces" series. Posted march 08. I am a photographer and love portraits too! I also paint on canvas and are about to do a series of portraits. I was especially taken by another one of a lady in black headgear looking down.( #2 in the faces series). You have captured something very special in that portrait. congratulations, it's fantastic!! I was wondering if you'd be happy for me to paint a portrait based on this photo. I am happy to acknowledge you. Whatever. just let me know. I will fully understand if you don't wish me too. Any questions you want to ask, just do so. Please let me know.
Thanks for taking the time to put such an amazing series of photos for me to enjoy. i will be certainly be bookmarking your site and visiting again.
Kind Regards from Margie g
