workflow: smooth skin

wow, i couldn't believe that im on hiatus for almost a month. there are many things to tell but unfortunately, work and personal time have taken its toll.

during my month's absence, my official work is going to be kaput (meaning bye-bye) and hopefully a better, more meaningful pasture which i'm looking forward to. there were also two professional portrait gigs, one with a former client; and the other, a very and tricky infant. i have been updating my portfolio as well but sadly, it was affected. it was suppose to be launched on us' independence day but my hopes are still high to finish by the end of the month. i have been actively participating with photo competitions just because need to backup my shots in the portfolio site. my dreams of going to antartica has melted but im still happy that five out of ten entries in the previous competition made it to the finals (and hopefully they will publish it).

as a bonus to the readers, i just made a crude tutorial for the folks who want to look their portraits having smooth skin. please bear with me as i dont have the experience in documenting my workflows. :P

the model in this workflow was a street kid (it's a boy) we found in the streets of binondo. shot by nikita (d300) with longnose (70-200mm) on ambient lighting.
