few days back, i was commissioned to take a couple of corporate portraits for a rebranded firm. they wanted to have a simple yet fresh-looking approach in their company portfolio. this is one of my favorite assignments since it only requires one lighting setup. arrange the lights, let the model pose, snap and go.
most of the shots i did were half-body portrait orientation but i took a few horizontals for variation. here are the cropped versions:
the lighting setup was pretty simple. i used three small flashes; two with shoot-through umbrellas are positioned in front of the subject using a clamshell technique and the other as a background fill.
portrait shots were taken by nikon d70s with 70-200mm 2.8 lens using off-camera flashes. setup shot was taken by my i-phone.
