few hours before my flight back to dubai, my friend was kind enough to show me the sultan qaboos grand mosque. a notable landmark in muscat, you can’t afford to miss this architectural marvel.
unfortunately due to limited time i visited oman, we arrived the place after sundown where prayers were held. the guard at the entrance didn’t allow us to enter and should come back during visiting hours instead (since were non-muslims). i had no choice but to shoot the place from the outside, covering only the main dome and minaret.

mounted on a tripod, i took different exposures of the same frame from 8 seconds up to 30 seconds. i later tone-mapped 5 sets of images thru photomatix. after tweaking the settings and quite contented with the result, i exported it and made some finishing touches on photoshop.
