after weeks of stressful office work, we were able to find time to chill-out over the weekend. we covered the event of cafe del mar in nasimi beach at atlantis palm jumeirah from sundown till late night. known for chill-out music and sunsets, cafe del mar was actually a bar in ibiza, spain and made several cool compilations of music.
habibti conspired with me and his soon-to-be colleague, roy, in taking this assignment. although event coverage is not my cup of tea, we were able to enjoy the music, booze, crowd and the celebration.

we were asked to take candid snaps of the people before sundown. it was quite difficult to achieve since it was still early. we decided to take the typical event mag poses and group shots.

the task was getting easier on sunset… people were “pumped” up for the evening party and some of them were already intoxicated. in these situations, they’re the ones who were approaching and asked for photos… most of them attractive species. so, aspiring male/female event photographers, this is your chance..hehe.

evening came, everyone’s revved up. the dj spinned and guest musicians performed their tunes. paris house addict, a music trio composed of saxophone, drums and violin were great.

lisa shaw also came to perform her urban and house music grooves.

after a little unwind, meet with new friends, and shoot for booze and gift perks (kristina…don’t forget..hehe.) over the weekend… it was worth it.

Looks like a very cool event. Nice coverage.
yep, it was. party all night.
Hello
Anywhere you point your camera, is a good place. Even if it is not your cup of tea. Everything you photograph is gold. I think every opportunity will give you experience in medias you may not enjoy, but the experience is worth it don’t you think? Every way to broaden your portfolio is worth every minute you spend working on it. Keep up the good work.
Jeremy
