while we were doing our grocery last weekend at spinney’s, we saw this white, square-ish packaging we craved it for a long time.  it was a tofu. i have to think if i’m going stir-fry it, treat as finger food (pulutan) or mix it with veggies…

my habibti spent the all-girls night and i am all alone to eat dinner. i opened the fridge and scanned some food to feast on and decided to cook sauteed bean sprouts with tofu.  i took out the bean sprouts, tofu, a carrot, a slice of pork (liempo), leftover peas, tomato, onion and garlic.

while i’m at it, i took a glass of rum and coke

the pork was chopped and boiled and waited for it to soften and fried by its own oil. i started frying the tofu in a separate pan. after it was done, i sauteed garlic, onion and tomato with a pinch of salt and pepper, few tablespoons of soy and oyster sauces.  finally, i put the bean sprouts and set it on low flame. a few more glasses of rum and coke,  it was ready.

a bowl of rice topped with bean sprouts and tofu, dashed with tabasco sauce… it was a bliss!
