another interesting area to visit in hatta is the hatta pools. located around 6kms from town centre, it is a group of fissures that runs around the valley. i was impressed by the desolated landscapes and fascinated by its beauty. unfortunately, lots of rubbish were left by campers and vandals painted graffiti in the surrounding areas gave an eyesore.

in 2009, the mideast snipers, our online photography community in uae, conducted a clean-up drive with the blessing of dubai municipality. more than sixteen vehicles and fifty participants came to help the environment by picking up rubbish around the area and at the same time enjoying photography.

the last photo was a single raw image converted to three jpegs with exposures of -2, 0, +2 then processed thru photomatix pro for tone mapping (hdr). i’m trying to achieve the surreal but natural feel post-process.
