last weekend, we took raby, our small pet dog to the vet for his annual anti-rabies vaccination. after the visit, we rewarded him by taking a walk at jumeirah beach residences. while having breakfast, we saw the sign that pets were not allowed to wander anymore. i guess we’re going back to the outskirts.

we used to live in barsha and the closest area we can enjoy was the bawadi area. it was desolate and perfect for pets to enjoy their time. in the future, the place will be constructed with theme parks, hotels, restos and other establishments. i was fortunate to document the sunrise when there were clouds in 2008.

i did not have my tripod when the sun came out. instead, i screwed the 9-stop density filter (ndx400) into my longnose (70-200mm) and went to a prone position. while holding the graduated neutral density filter i tried controlled my breathing to avoid blur. i post-processed the images with sharpen, level and curve adjustments using lightroom and photoshop.
