brides in black

once again, i visited the dubai bride show which was held annually in dubai. it has been my third visit and quite a short one. the moment i entered the hall, things went black… literally.

i was sent by my office to take snaps of one of the exhibition stands we designed.  most of the visitors were arabs wearing abayas and the exhibitors showcasing their abaya designs. i also found evening wear, wedding dresses, venue designs, photography services, accessories and others.

in this event, there were sixteen fashion shows for four days. out of sixteen, i had only one chance to see and it was an abaya collection. the show of the hour has already started and i did not hesitate to enter the press area in front of the fashion ramp without any pass. the good thing was no one questioned me. unpacking my gear, i mounted my “longnose” (70-200mm), dialed to iso400 and large aperture and start shooting. after a few snaps, i left the scene without finishing it.

wow…this is nice. Love those angles and natural processing. Pang professional talaga. Do they allow to take pictures or you have an official invitation?

Of course they were not going to question you. With all your camera gear, they just assumed you were press.
