every year is made and rounded up the moments captured through the times we live in. as 2011 closes, i collected bits and pieces of memories from my archives.

on the second round of the sony di challenge, the professionals were required to submit high speed capture photos. using the continuous advance priority ae feature, sony put their mark as the fastest consumer camera in the market today shooting 10 frames per second. in this challenge, we were required to choose best three frames to compose as one image.

during the eid holidays, i managed to attend three photo sessions. one of them was a portrait of a baby turning one. her mother needed the shots for her daughter’s birthday. as i started to setup the equipment, i realised that i forgot to bring my backdrop. without it, i had to improvise.
“think and don’t panic.”

i mentioned in my previous post that i joined a photography competition called sony digital imaging challenge. overall, there are four tasks that the we need to complete. the first challenge was to take a long exposure shot on a desert landscape using only a tripod and the sony a55 camera. the shot submitted must be unretouched and we are not allowed to post-process the image. in this photo, i used a two-minute exposure and the lighted tent as the subject.
