one of the nearest photo-friendly sites in my area is the american war memorial. located at fort bonifacio, taguig, it contains the largest number of graves of our military dead of world war ii with a total of 17,202. i have been to this place once and managed to visit the site again using different set of gears.

balikbayan box is a corrugated box containing any number of small items from food, clothing, toiletries, toys or whatever it fits in. it is sent by expat filipinos to their homeland as pasalubong (presents) to their family usually before christmas. this documentary took us three days to cover from wrapping the boxes with countless packaging tapes, filling up with items and to pick-up of the freight forwarders from our place.

it was peaceful. the tranquil waters of mattupetty lake gave us a quiet atmosphere and natural beauty as we passed by. situated at 1700m above sea level, and located 28km from munnar town to top station this artificial reservoir is one of the most nature rich districts of kerala. surrounded by lush forest and livestock, the lake provided us what we need: a relaxing view etched in our memories.

it was dawn when we drove from cochin airport to munnar. we were fortunate to see waterfalls on the way when morning came. due to monsoon, they were popping left and right of our windows.
