every year is made and rounded up the moments captured through the times we live in. as 2011 closes, i collected bits and pieces of memories from my archives.
unlike other blogs and feeds, i will be featuring more unpublished shots that happened throughout the year. not in particular order, i present the pictures of 2011.
happy new year everyone!

i was hesitant not to bring my infrared-converted camera on my vacation. adding extra kilo on my luggage is hard and tricky for travelling but knowing philippines have lots of foliage and fluffy clouds, i took the risk.
i made the right decision.

i never tried star trails before until i joined a recent photography competition. we were given certain cameras and the first challenge was taking photographs on a low-light desert landscape. while waiting for my “competition” gear to expose the scene on the north, i tried my personal cam facing south.
there are ways of taking star trails and you can find them all over the internet. the most common are single exposure shot and set of short exposures for stacking. i used the latter since light pollution caused by big cities was strong. south was the only direction with less glow and took a lot of 30-sec exposures and later combined it using a specialised software such as startax.

one of enjoying moments during our visit to india is experiencing cultural shows such as kathakali and kalaripayattu. after seeing much of the stunts, swordfights and fighting, the performers played with fire.
