over the past few days, we were visiting one of the most beautiful architectural wonders of abu dhabi, the sheikh zayed grand mosque. it never ceases to amaze me from exterior to interior look of the structure. from outside, you will see the obvious: magnificent and geometrically lined-up domes, pillars and arches.

i was hesitant not to bring my infrared-converted camera on my vacation. adding extra kilo on my luggage is hard and tricky for travelling but knowing philippines have lots of foliage and fluffy clouds, i took the risk.

i made the right decision.

the grid shell 0

one of the most significant feature of the yas hotel was the curvilinear glass and steel covering known as the grid shell. designed by hani rashid and lise anne couture, it embodies the aesthetic of speed and the geometries form the basis of ancient islamic art and craft traditions.

the power of lightness 0

finally, our month-long project pays off. we were able to visit the site where we designed and managed the event for the new audi a6 at yas marina circuit. it was a perfect time for me to see the cars face-to-face after countless hours of looking at my computer screens during production. wandering around the yas marina circuit, i took a few snaps with the view.
