finally, our month-long project pays off. we were able to visit the site where we designed and managed the event for the new audi a6 at yas marina circuit. it was a perfect time for me to see the cars face-to-face after countless hours of looking at my computer screens during production. wandering around the yas marina circuit, i took a few snaps with the view.

for many years, i’ve been avoiding temptation of infrared (ir) photography. the conventional photography is challenging enough for me to explore but the surreal world of infrared fuels my curiosity even more.
the photo above was taken during my photo adventure to the mountains of zambales in 2008. it was my first shot of infrared using an r72 lens filter borrowed from a friend. without knowing the basics, the shot turns out bad. fortunately, i was able to shoot it in raw and post-process it later on via lightroom and photoshop. however, it took a lot of tweaks on how to correct my previous error with lots of cast, incorrect white balance, etc. so i convert it to black and white. still, a well-prepped shot is far better than a well-salvaged photo.
i’ve just sent one of my bodies for infrared conversion. a perfect move for our upcoming adventure. time to practice!

in relation to my previous post, this was taken while i was in the jetty of the kandooma. the photo above is just a partial of the panorama i stitched together using adobe photoshop. check out the full view of the island.
note: it was convenient to embed watermark on the full version because of incidents of photo usage without my permission (see story). in any case i see this photo elsewhere without my permission, someone will pay without leniency.

finally, i found a little breather from a toxic month-long project. while i am starting to update my portfolio, i found a series of unstitched shots of the sunset deck of kandooma, maldives in april 2009. with the help of my friend roy alvarez who specialises in vr (virtual reality) photography, we collaborated in reconstructing the paradise once more.
note: this may take a while to load (3mb) but worth the wait. enjoy!
