since i have been travelling between uae and qatar, i got more chances to photograph the dubai skyline from air. unlike the previous flight, the weather as a bit clear and clouds were present.

the dusty haze blankets the city of dubai. taken during take-off towards doha before sunset. i already planned and chose the left side window seat, closer to front of the aircraft to anticipate the shot. i was in the right place but at the wrong time.

over the weekend, i got an opportunity to take a once in a lifetime experience from seawings. offering a unique sightseeing excursion across dubai and other emirates, this was a chance for me to photograph the city from a bird’s eye perspective.

it was almost a perfect time to visit at the top. we were blessed with clouds and lighting was directly above the buildings, minimizing shadows. unfortunately we can’t have it all due to hazy conditions which obscured parts of dubai. in any case, i enjoyed the scenery using my wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
