i never tried star trails before until i joined a recent photography competition. we were given certain cameras and the first challenge was taking photographs on a low-light desert landscape. while waiting for my “competition” gear to expose the scene on the north, i tried my personal cam facing south.
there are ways of taking star trails and you can find them all over the internet. the most common are single exposure shot and set of short exposures for stacking. i used the latter since light pollution caused by big cities was strong. south was the only direction with less glow and took a lot of 30-sec exposures and later combined it using a specialised software such as startax.

i am looking for a suitable photo for our new set of photo frames. while digging in the archives, i came across this shot when i was scouting a location in discovery gardens on broad daylight. there is nothing much to say about this photo but somehow i like how the light and shadows played.

balikbayan box is a corrugated box containing any number of small items from food, clothing, toiletries, toys or whatever it fits in. it is sent by expat filipinos to their homeland as pasalubong (presents) to their family usually before christmas. this documentary took us three days to cover from wrapping the boxes with countless packaging tapes, filling up with items and to pick-up of the freight forwarders from our place.

few weeks back, it was a first for me to photograph baby twins. the parents asked me to do a small session for aidan and adam. i lost the opportunity to photograph few days after they were born due to health issues. after three months, i got my chance.
