it was dawn when we drove from cochin airport to munnar. we were fortunate to see waterfalls on the way when morning came. due to monsoon, they were popping left and right of our windows.

lately, i’ve been practicing infrared outdoors where the sun was its peak. they say that in traditional photography, high noon doesn’t give the most creative light for landscape photographers but its a different story for ir. i decided to endure the 40-degree summer heat of the sandlands just for the sake of getting the right shot.

for many years, i’ve been avoiding temptation of infrared (ir) photography. the conventional photography is challenging enough for me to explore but the surreal world of infrared fuels my curiosity even more.
