(in)corporate shoot 1

once again, i got another corporate shoot assignment of an event company. contrary to the classy and overly-smart looking shots, a lively, light-hearted theme was given which resembled the world of advertising and event management.

darker side of pink 1

paula was the first model to be photographed by our group during a fun shoot of camera club of dubai. i was invited by a colleague to give some pointers to their members. although glam and fash was not my cup of tea, i applied a few tricks and experience in portraiture. among the models, her costume was bright and joyful. the color pink would always be a happy one. i decided to challenge myself with a different mood yet with a little seduction.

it took a lot of time looking for a perfect place for an angel. most of the portrayals were either fallen ones or very bright and angelic. the concept was to be in both categories.

last week, we were invited by our friend to take photo of her… during her pregnancy. it was quite a challenge for me because it has been a long time since i practiced my off-camera lighting. also, it was the second time for me to shoot such occassion.

chandeliers 1

remember the top shot of the dome? that was a bottom section of one of the seven chandeliers of the sheikh zayed mosque. the main chandelier which sits in the central dome measuring 10m diameter and 15.25m in height and weighs 12 tonnes. it was the largest in the world (doha, qatar currently holds the record). these chandeliers are stylish, plated with copper and gold and decorated with 40-million different coloured swarovski crystals lighted by high-power leds.
