dashing south 1

i never tried star trails before until i joined a recent photography competition. we were given certain cameras and the first challenge was taking photographs on a low-light desert landscape. while waiting for my “competition” gear to expose the scene on the north, i tried my personal cam facing south.

there are ways of taking star trails and you can find them all over the internet. the most common are single exposure shot and set of short exposures for stacking. i used the latter since light pollution caused by big cities was strong. south was the only direction with less glow and took a lot of 30-sec exposures and later combined it using a specialised software such as startax.

happy new year everyone!

during my local leave, i was wondering on how to maximise my digitized image space in my hard drives. i deleted unwanted clutter and archiving not-so-important files just to free those precious bytes. while browsing my november 2007 folders, i stumbled upon this long forgotten gem.
